The Founder

Aloha,

My name is Jonathan Albano
I was born and raised in the Big Island of Hawaii. Growing up, I was either studying indoors or involved with sports activities. There was never time or the privilege for me to join friends who had passion for the outdoors such as surfing, bodyboarding, fishing, or hunting. I moved out of Hawaii to pursue my college goals in Oregon. I graduated with a Geography and Community Development degree at Portland State University. In 2012, I relocated to Sacramento California where I landed my first job after college. Working indoors 40 hours a week in front of the computer made me realize my passion for the outdoors. During the weekend, I took advantage by cycling the American River Trail and joining Hiking clubs in Northern California. From there, I’ve hiked a lot of places in Hawaii, California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Oregon, and Washington. It has been one of the best experiences in my life.

Living away from home made me appreciate where I’m from. It also reminds me how blessed I am to live in paradise. Not too many people have the chance to live in a beautiful place. I hope sharing my experience will motivate you to push beyond the limits to pursue your dreams, goals, and aspirations. Work is for life, Life is not for work. Remember to find your passion, be positive, dream big and stay humble. Live the life you love!
